The launch of the first ever IWPOY Exhibition took place at the Quay Arts Centre on Wednesday 14th February 2007. Over 80 guests and visitors were treated to an impressive ‘wall of images’ in the cafe gallery. The drinks reception started at 6 p.m. and the organisers were pleased to note that people had been queueing to view the exhibition.
Everyone commented on the quality and diversity of the 50 images on display from local Island photographers. A special thank you is due to Charles Chapman, Patron of the Arts and Chairman of the Isle of Wight County Council for once again supporting the IWPOY.

The 2007 IWPOY was launched at the exhibition reception and once again will afford Isle of Wight resident photographers, both amateur and professional, the opportunity to enter for this prestigious award.
Due to increased interest from sponsors and Island businesses this year’s competition is themed as ‘lifestyles’ and all images must reflect the Island’s people, places, events, leisure, work or any other activities.
